Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have been named as one of the supporters of National Apprenticeship Week for the third consecutive year, taking place from 10th – 16th February 2025.

With a week-long series of activities planned, the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator will be once again showing their support for the 18th annual National Apprenticeship Week. This includes a visit to NSPCC’s Leeds hub, one of the companies’ charity partners, to learn about its valuable mission, followed by a Bright Sparks ideas club in which apprentices will pitch their proposed solutions to overcome the charity’s business challenges.

In addition, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be promoting their apprenticeship opportunities at the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on Wednesday 12th February. As well as encouraging apprentices to return to their schools and colleges to deliver career talks, the company will be hosting webinars providing information, advice and guidance on the benefits of apprenticeships.

Recognising the importance of fostering future talent within the company, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are proud to host a nationwide apprenticeship programme which is constantly expanding as the business continues to grow, perfectly aligning them to the National Apprenticeship Week 2025 Supporters Club. In addition to a variety of apprentice entry roles, the companies’ selection of apprenticeship opportunities are available to existing colleagues keen to progress in their careers and learn new skills, of which the planned activities throughout National Apprenticeship Week aim to raise awareness of.

Apprentices with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ have the opportunity to gain practical work experience, key skills and professional qualifications whilst earning a salary. The companies currently employ over 200 apprentices across Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Operations Control, Ground Operations, HR, IT, Marketing, Procurement, Planning and Product, all of which are training towards their respective qualifications with a view to progress into permanent roles or to support their career development within the organisation.

In October, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays proudly recognised 48 successful apprentices graduating from their apprenticeship scheme at their third annual graduation ceremony. As well as celebrating their largest ever cohort of graduates, many of the apprentices have now secured permanent positions with the airline and tour operator, including internal apprentices securing promotions through their apprenticeship qualifications.

Over the past three years, apprentices at the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator have also proven successful at the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship and Skills Awards, most recently seeing Jet2 .com and Jet2holidays being named Large Employer of the Year.

National Apprenticeship Week is an annual celebration with the aim of raising awareness of the positive impact that apprenticeship schemes have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. Aiming to promote the variety of apprenticeship opportunities available for all ages and levels, the theme for 2025 is “Skills for Life” which Jet2.com and Jet2holidays advocate by equipping their apprentices from a range of educational and career backgrounds with the required skills for their job roles, resulting in a diverse working culture.

We recognise the immense contribution that apprentices make towards our continued success and growth, so we are delighted to be part of the National Apprenticeship Week 2025 Supporters Club. The future of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is extremely bright, thanks to the recruitment of even more apprentices for next year, and we are making more opportunities available to support existing colleagues too. A key reason we continue to win awards for delivering the best service in the industry is the fact we recruit talented and committed colleagues, and this is something we will continue doing. As our apprenticeship programme continues to grow alongside our business, we look forward to welcoming the next generation of apprentices, as well as nurturing existing talent.
