Leeds United To Host Title Contenders Manchester City In A Premier League Clash This Weekend

Leeds United are set to welcome high-flyers Manchester City to Elland Road this weekend, in yet another Premier League match.

The Whites currently sit in 15th place, 6 points from the relegation zone, after a tumultuous return to the league this season.

Manchester City, however, sit in 2nd place and are firm contenders to take home the title trophy.

Following a rocky start to the season, Leeds United seemed to experience a change in form at their last match against City despite losing 3-2 to a Phil Foden goal.

Leeds Manager Daniel Farke bit the bullet and changed his tactics for this game, where despite the loss, showed that his team were more than capable of fighting for points.

Their form has significantly improved since this match, and are so far unbeaten in February.

Manchester City, who currently sit 5 points behind current leaders Arsenal with a game in hand, are on top form with the Premier League trophy set in their sights.

Farke announced in his pre-match press conference on Thursday that Gabriel Gudmundsson is returning after a bout of illness which caused him to miss the Villa game on Saturday.

James, Struijk and Stach all were available for selection in the Villa match, with the latter scoring a stunning free kick in the game.

Winger Noah Okafor, who has been one of the key players for Leeds so far this season, is the only player who is anticipated to miss out for the Whites.
Manchester City saw the return of Savinho in their match against Newcastle, who was injured in their New Years Day fixture against Sunderland.
Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic remain out with longer-term injuries, with the inclusion of Jeremy Doku remaining unexpected.

The game will kick off at 5:30pm on Saturday 28th of February.
