Tan Hill Reaches New Heights With Live Entertainment

Visitors to an iconic Yorkshire pub can enjoy some of the country’s top tribute acts, as part of a packed programme of entertainment.

The Tan Hill Inn, near Richmond, is the highest pub in the UK – which is why it has reached for the stars when it comes to music.

The pub, which dates back to the 17th century, has also become a must-go venue for people wanting to enjoy live music in unique surroundings.

Every Thursday Tan Hill hosts a buskers night, where guests can enjoy the cream of local artists showcasing their skills.

The pub’s barn also holds live performances every Friday and Saturday, including monthly comedy nights and a whole host of top tribute acts.

Acts appearing in the months ahead include music of the Stranglers, Green Day, Fu Fighters and Guns N Roses – the Yorkshire version.
Lovers of Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, ABBA, Lady Gaga and Bryan Adams will also be able to find nights to enjoy their musical favourites.

Tickets for the tribute acts start from £15 and can be booked via the website at www.tanhillinn.com which also has the full events programme.

There will be performances throughout the year, culminating in Christmas with the Yorkshire Oompah Band on 12 December.
Owner Andrew Hields said the aim was to produce an eclectic programme with something for everyone.

“The Tan Hill is such a unique venue that it makes sense for us to have unique entertainment,” he said.

“We’ve devised a programme that covers every single musical genre so there is something for everyone.

“And there’s the added bonus that if people want to make a night of it, they can stay over and enjoy the full Tan Hill experience.”
