Law firm Wilkin Chapman Rollits has launched a new HR platform combining artificial intelligence with advice from the firm’s employment lawyers.
The service, named Adaptive HR, is among the first in the UK to integrate AI case management with solicitor validation and insurance-backed protection. The hybrid model aims to provide businesses with 24-hour HR support while maintaining access to tailored legal expertise.
Oliver Tasker, partner and head of the firm’s employment law team, said Adaptive HR was developed in response to increasing pressure on employers to address personnel issues quickly.
“We often hear from employers who are managing complex HR situations with limited time and resources,” he said. “Adaptive HR allows us to provide expert-led HR and legal guidance around the clock, while ensuring clients can still access advice from our employment lawyers when they need it, so they do not lose that human and client-focused touch.
“Clients have the full reassurance that every step is validated by an employment law solicitor, giving businesses confidence that they are following the correct process.”
The platform uses a structured case management system to guide users through disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management. It supports compliance through automated audit trails and document templates. Once the AI generates a case summary, a solicitor reviews it during business hours to ensure legal compliance before the employer takes action.
Businesses can also opt for insurance to cover legal costs in defending Employment Tribunal claims, starting from the point of ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) Early Conciliation.
The launch follows a trend of technological adoption in the UK legal sector, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s recent approval of the country’s first AI-only law firm. Wilkin Chapman Rollits stated its focus remains on using AI to support, rather than replace, human expertise.
Oliver Tasker added: “AI is increasingly being used across the legal sector for things like streamlining casework. We’ve developed this platform with employers in mind, using AI responsibly and prioritising transparency, data privacy and clear human oversight.
“We wanted to create a platform that complements the expertise of our employment lawyers to support employers’ decision-making, on demand when required.”
