Yorkshire Horse-Bedding Specialist To Star At Clarkson’s Farm Fest
Unibed, a family-run equestrian specialist based in North Yorkshire, has been named headline sponsor for the World of Horses arena at the upcoming Farm Fest.
The event, scheduled to take place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire from May 22 to May 24, is billed as the UK’s largest country fair and music festival. Curated by broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson, the festival features the cast of the television series Clarkson’s Farm alongside musical acts including Sophie Ellis-Bextor and 10CC.
Founded in 2009 and relaunched in 2019, Unibed has seen significant growth in the equestrian sector. In 2023, the company produced 260,000 bales of bedding, increasing output to 480,000 bales by 2025—an average annual growth of 35 per cent.

Jessica Vickers, commercial and operations director of Unibed, said: “We are tremendously proud to be playing a major role in such a high-profile and prestigious national farming event.
“Over the past few years, with the help of our family, we have built up Unibed from being a local supplier of horse-bedding to a respected UK equestrian institution. Our appearance at Farm Fest is a recognition of how far we have come, while also giving us a chance to say thank you to customers old and new."
The company harvests its straw from farms across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. During the festival, it will sell limited-edition branded bales and has pledged to donate 5 per cent of all sales to RABI (the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution), a charity supporting the farming community.
The World of Horses arena will host displays ranging from heavy Suffolk Punch horses to Shetland ponies, featuring blacksmithing demonstrations and barrel racing.
A spokesperson for Farm Fest said: “We are working with Unibed to bring you a high energy celebration of horsepower in every shape and size. From thundering hooves to lightning-fast turns, this is where tradition meets adrenaline.”
Managed by founders Tina and Edward Hirst, alongside their son Luke and partner Jessica Vickers, the business attributes its expansion to a low-overhead model and vertical integration of its supply chain.
Ms Vickers added: “The key to our success is a combination of quality and cost. By harvesting the highest quality straw, and by keeping our overheads to a minimum, we provide our customers with the finest sustainable horse-bedding at the most competitive of prices.”
