The Grand, York, has announced a £2.5m renovation of its spa and wellness facilities, reinforcing its reputation as a premier destination for relaxation in the heart of the city.

The transformation, set to run from 1st May to December, will see the introduction new, state-of-the-art amenities.

As part of the multi million pounds refit, The Grand’s existing spa will be completely reimagined, incorporating cutting-edge wellness technology, new treatment rooms, and expanded relaxation areas.

Plans include the introduction of a Tirol hot sauna, a Himalayan salt sauna, a hydrotherapy pool, foot spas, and tranquil relaxation rooms.

Additionally, a dedicated restaurant area will be created, providing spa day guests with a luxurious space to enjoy refreshments and unwind.

Despite the temporary closure of the spa during the refurbishment period, The Grand’s therapists will continue to offer treatments in an alternative setting, ensuring guests can still enjoy premium pampering during the transition.

During the refurbishment, The Grand, York will transform two bedrooms into treatment rooms, so that its therapists can continue to offer treatments.

The new spa should open early next year.
